About the photograph - Titanic Experience
Being from the Republic of Ireland, I'm sorry to say that I didn't consider Belfast as a travel destination when I was younger. History and media coverage saw to that. But thanks to the Good Friday Agreement, I have travelled to Belfast a few times over the recent years and have always enjoyed my time there.
One location of interest was the Titanic Experience. I had heard a lot of positive things about it and seen a number of images of the intriguing building design. The day I visited was a beautiful summer's day, not a cloud in the sky, and the Titanic Experience shining in the sunshine.
Needless to say I think I spend more time exploring the outside of the attraction than the inside. The angles of the building with its 4 high pointed ship hull design, and the reflections from the unique shards used in the building's cladding made for some very interesting compositions in the sunshine. I also wanted to try and include its scale, at 38 meters (126 feet) above me.
